Kaya Tulum

Kaya is directed by: Daniela Jacome, Mexican, industrial designer and lover of handicrafts.

After working for more than 10 years in hospitality in the Riviera Maya, I realized the lack of authentic Mexican products, many guests and visitors constantly asked for real Mexican crafts/souvenirs, and it was very difficult to give them an answer, that's when I realized that I wanted to show our tourists (from Mexico to the World) what Mexican artisan talent really is. The passion, the quality, unique techniques and materials, the history that each product has with our people.

So I opened Kaya in the summer of 2017, and since then I've learned more about the history of each product, met amazing Mexican talent, and dreamed of new collaborations.
